Jessica Fayerman is licensed to practice before the Illinois
Supreme Court and the United States District Court for the
Northern District of Illinois. She has experience representing
clients in front of state and federal courts, as well as the
United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Illinois
Department of Human Rights, Illinois Human Rights Commission,
and Illinois Department of Employment Security.She is a
graduate of the Northwestern University School of Law. Prior to
studying law, Jessica graduated from Bates College, magna
cum laude, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political
science. During her junior year of college, she attended the
London School of Economics and Political Science where she
studied law and international economic history. While in
college, Ms. Fayerman was active in local, state, and national
politics as well as student government. As a result of her
extensive work on various political campaigns, Ms. Fayerman
received an award for excellence in the study of politics in the
United States.
During law school, Ms. Fayerman served as an Executive Editor
of the Northwestern Journal of International Law and Business,
and was instrumental in editing the Journal’s acclaimed
symposium issue on the convergence of international accounting
standards. In addition, the Journal also published her article
concerning international intellectual property protection and
access to pharmaceuticals, which has enjoyed a number of
subsequent citations.
Ms. Fayerman is a member of the National Employment Lawyer’s
Association and the Chicago Bar Association. She has served as
a volunteer judge for the Arlen Miner Moot Court Competition at
Northwestern University School of Law.
